Día de los Muertos

I took these photos a few weeks back, but today seems like the appropriate day to post them. They were taken at a local cemetary. I don’t know the people or the families, but I know the cemetary well.

Why is today a fitting day to post these? Well, it’s Día de los Muertos!

Día de los Muertos is also called Day of the Dead. Many people honor the deceased by bringing sugar skulls, marigolds and the favorite foods and drinks to the cemetaries and celebrating the lives that they lived and touched.

The textures I used on the photos is from the Graveyard Texture Set from Isabelle Lafrance Photography!
