Holiday Photography

This isn’t going to be a post about how to capture great holiday images. Instead I am going to encourage you to not worry so much about technical details for your family holiday images.

Because photographers tend to spend a lot of time making sure other people have their memories and events captured in photos….and this season you should leave all the ideas of the “perfect” shoot behind and capture your family as you really are. All the fun, silliness, and love. There are times to worry about all the other stuff and then there is a time to just enjoy the moment. In 20 years your kids won’t say “Why didn’t Mom use the prime lens for this shot of us baking cookies?” They will just be glad that you captured that memory for them!

And step in front of the camera too. (You have a tripod, right?). They will treasure those photos of Mom and Dad more than you can even imagine!
